From her earliest days growing up in New England, artist Susan Wheeler loved to explore the woods near her home. Eager to discover the secret places where animals made their homes, she first imagined a village with tiny brick cottages and moss covered treehouses, all inhabited by families of genteel woodland creatures.
Out of an overwhelming desire to actually ‘see’ this world for herself, Susan began painting her imagined wonderland in exquisitely detailed watercolours. Many years later, these paintings became the basis for Holly Pond Hill… a popular line of greetings cards, children’s books, gifts and home décor.
