The museum, café and visitor shop are open from 10am until 5pm every day.

Last entry to the Museum and Galleries is 4pm. The historic House closes at 4:30pm.

The Print Workshop is open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm.

Gainsborough’s House site will be closed for a Private Event on Monday 5 August 2024.

Between 24 June – 5 July 2024, we will be preparing our exhibition spaces to welcome three new, fantastic exhibitions. These will be available to visit from 6 July – 3 November 2024.

We are pleased to say that the historic House will still be accessible during this time. Please be aware of some minor changes to your visiting experience while we install the forthcoming exhibitions.

You can purchase your tickets for entry on arrival from reception in our new gallery. Alternatively, you can order your tickets online. Tickets purchased online are not date specific and are valid for a single entry for one year from the date of purchase.
