Suffolk is the birthplace of two of Britain’s greatest landscape artists, Gainsborough and Constable. Yet where in the county is the national gallery that celebrates their achievements; that encourages visitors to see how inspiringly beautiful the landscape is; that celebrates visual arts and gives an opportunity for the people of the county and further afield to enjoy and engage with the very best of art?

This long held vision for a national gallery now has become a reality since we commenced our project: ‘Reviving an Artist’s Birthplace – a national centre for Gainsborough’ here at Gainsborough’s House.
