Printmaking Foundation Course

This introductory course which takes place 1 day a week over six weeks, is a great way to explore a variety of printmaking techniques. You will learn the basic skills and processes of linocut, drypoint etching, monoprint, collagraphs and screen printing and on the final day of the course, you will have the opportunity to continue exploring the techniques already covered.

During the course, you will be taught how to use the tools for each technique, how to plan a print, apply inks and how to use the presses. Throughout the course, you will be supported and guided by the tutors in developing your ideas and knowledge of printmaking. All materials are provided and pre-course information will be sent out to participants beforehand with details of what you might want to bring or prepare in advance.

Tickets for all Print Workshop Courses can be cancelled up to one month beforehand. Refunds will be given after this date only if the place is re-sold.

Week 1 — Friday 3 May: Lino
Week 2 — Friday 10 May: Drypoint etching
Week 3 — Friday 17 May: Monoprinting
Week 4 — Friday 24 May: Collagraph
Week 5 — Friday 31 May: Screen printing with paper stencils
Week 6 — Friday 7 June: Personal choice

1 day a week for 6 weeks, every Friday, 10am–4pm
