Part of the ‘Draw like de László’ Art Class series, session 2

Enjoy a morning at Gainsborough’s House in the wonderful Landscape Studio painting the portrait from life utilising Philip de László’s (1869–1937) colour palette.

We will be building upon what was taught in the first “Draw like de László” workshop (on Friday 19 April) and adding oil paint as well as colour theory into the mix.

About Ione

Ione trained at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy from 2011–14. Here, she immersed herself in the traditional methods of drawing and painting inspired by the techniques of nineteenth-century artists. After completing her studies, she had the privilege of teaching at the Florence Academy of Art. Upon moving back to London, she continued to work as an instructor at the London Atelier of Representational Art.

Ione’s work has been exhibited in London, Italy and America. She continues to paint portraits and landscapes in and around her home in Sudbury, Suffolk.
