Join the artist Rebecca Salter, President of the Royal Academy, and writer and critic Thomas Marks, as they discuss Rebecca’s current exhibition, In View: Rebecca Salter at Gainsborough’s House. You won’t want to miss this special opportunity to hear from the artist herself about her practice!

The conversation will shed light on Rebecca’s complex, attentive methods of painting and drawing, including what they owe to Japan, where she trained, and how her annual excursions to the Lake District continue to challenge her as an artist. It will explore the process of coupling her drawings with works from the Gainsborough’s House Collection for the exhibition – and what we might learn about drawing itself from these surprising but sympathetic pairings.
