Come join us at Gainsborough’s House in our fantastic Landscape Studio to learn the art of portraiture drawing using techniques used by Philip de László (1869–1937).
Here we will use charcoal to draw the portrait from life using the sight size method utilised frequently by de László. We will focus on the interplay of light and shadow and how it describes the form of the face.
