Artist’s Studio Museum Network

Across Europe there are around 200 small museums established in the former homes or studios of visual artists.

In January 2016 Watts Gallery – Artist’s Village in Guilford, Surrey established the Artist’s Studio Museum Network to bring single-artist museums, house museums and studio museums to a wider public. The Network’s website allows visitors privileged access to the fascinating stories and environments in which great art has been created.

One year on and membership has grown to over 100 museums, including Gainsborough’s House, representing 19 countries across Europe.

Learn more about the network and its members at the Artist’s Studio Museum Network website and on the artuk blog.
