Warm Welcome Coffee Club coming to Sudbury town to encourage volunteering and enhanced well-being
As a result of a successful application to Babergh District Council Community Grants for the Living Well in Winter fund:
Gainsborough’s House Warm Welcome Coffee Club (GHWWCC) will be launched on Wednesday 21 February 2024, drop-in to say hello from 10:30am to 12:30pm
This space will enable Gainsborough’s House Volunteers access to a warm and social space. A space that will allow volunteers to meet with one another, especially those from different roles across the site. It’ll be a safe space for them to share experiences and knowledge, and to enjoy each other’s company in a communal setting. This creates the perfect opportunity to support each other in a personal capacity and to improve well-being, particularly in terms of accessing local support from organisations that individuals may have experience or involvement with.
If you’ve been thinking about volunteering and would like to know more, the GHWWCC gives an incredible and ideal opportunity for the local community to join us to find out about volunteering at Gainsborough’s House in a relaxed, warm and welcoming place. Let us know you’re dropping in by contacting, Catherine King, catherine@gainsborough, we can’t wait to welcome you! Newcomers can also use the space to learn how they can get involved at Gainsborough’s House. With access to this grant, we have allocated funding towards a new Volunteers’ Welcome Pack which will be used to support our volunteers, new and existing.
Come and see us for the launch on Wednesday 21 February and please see the dates below for other openings of the GHWWCC:
- 13 and 27 March
- 10 and 24 April
