This 3-day course is a hands-on experience, working with the three major etching, intaglio processes of hard ground, soft ground and aquatint. Working on existing plates is encouraged along with working on new plates and taking these plates through to the finished print on paper.

About Jason

Jason Hicklin has been working with and teaching the etching process for over thirty years and was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painting and Printmakers in 1993.

He is Head of Printmaking at the City and Guilds of London Art School and oversees the print room at Gainsborough’s House, he is represented by Eames Fine Art and has work in numerous public and private collections.
